Seattle in the Summer
It's been awhile since we posted but to be honest, we haven't done much... until last weekend. We decided to take a quick trip up to Seattle for the 4th of July weekend. As luck would have it, the weather was perfect! Here is a LINK to see more photos of the trip!
Here's a few things we did while there:
I'm sure there's more but can't remember. We were only gone for 4 days, but it felt like a week! The weather was perfect until the last day when we were departing. To follow our tradition of rain on a vacation, it drizzled on the way to the airport. :)
Enjoy!

Graduation
I know it's been a while since we posted but other than gardening life has been rather boring. :)
This weekend though was a little different, we got to share the celebration of our niece's graduation from high school!

She looked soo happy!! We're very proud of her! I know she will accomplish great things in life and make this world a better place!
On top of watching her graduate, one of my brother's family came to visit. It's always good to spend time with family especially with them so far away (a few states!). It's great to see how big the little ones have gotten!
Hope everyone else enjoyed their holiday weekend!

Happy Monday!
Wow, this month is almost half way over.
We had a wonderful weekend with family, first Matt's grandma's birthday and then Easter dinner with more family. The weather was amazing so we did a little gardening, which seems to happen every weekend now. The good thing about it is that our garden is growing like mad and the backyard is looking very inviting. The bad thing is, well, not much to complain about actually.
Anyhow, just wanted to wish everyone a great and fast week. Can't wait for the weekend, I hear it's suppose be beautiful outside!

Take a seat...
It's always nice to feel productive and have something to show for it. What did we spend our weekend doing?
Making this:

It was suppose to be two benches but when you are working off a photo without any measurements and just guessing, it takes a bit longer. My parents came down and helped us. I'm pretty proud of it. Granted there a little things off but I think it gives it personality! :) We have to wait a few months before we stain it espresso.
Other than that, the weekend was good. Matt did a 10k and beat his personal record! He did a great job. We also saw a few of our nieces, they came over and spent the night. It's always nice to spend time with our families!
Hope y'all have a great week!

Our own little farm...
Over at the Marciano household, we've been busy working our green thumbs. For something that I thought would only take 1 hour, ended in more like 10 hours worth of hard labor. The before:

So, we dug into the hill and recycled some old railroad ties someone gave us and planted. The after:

We took this photo after day two (a week ago). This past week, we've cleaned it up more and moved some of the rocks and sticks around and even added some solar lights. Looks very clean and nice. OH, and yesterday morning, we noticed we had corn, cucumber, and lettuce seedlings. We are still waiting for the peas, carrots, and artichokes to pop out.
What all did we plant: Corn, peas, carrots, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, artichokes, lettuce, and six different types of herbs.
I can't wait till summer when everything well start growing strong!

Finally...
It's springtime and we're are coming out of hibernation.
We finally updated our photo site.
For Costa Rica, go here, for Maui, go here.
